Another year has come and gone. 2014 ended up being a pretty fantastic year for me. After a rough 2013, I needed something positive in my life and this past year gave me just that. Here’s a look back at my 2014 adventures!
I ran my second full marathon finishing in 4:03:39. It was a bit slower than my first, but a bit warmer outside! I was thrilled with the outcome and proud to be a multi-marathoner!
I traveled to Orlando with Ashley and Alison to meet up with Julie for our 4th annual Disney Princess weekend! We played at Universal Studios Harry Potter World, ran a half marathon, and ran around Disney for a few days. Always one of my favorite trips of the year!
I went to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo a few times. Ran my first Neon Dash 5K with JP and Caitlin. Celebrated Moose’s first birthday!
I went to the Shell Houston Open. Ran the Zooma Texas half marathon in Austin as an ambassador. Celebrated my 4th wedding anniversary with my wonderful husband in Corpus Christi, TX.
I hosted our annual Kentucky Derby Party. Celebrated Chandra at her bachelorette party in Fredericksburg, TX on a wine tasting weekend. Floated the river in New Braunfels, TX with the Crowsons and Waites. Partied all weekend celebrating Chandra and Michael’s wedding!
I spent some time with the Houston Blogger girls at Top Golf Houston North. Traveled to Norway with JP to see some of my favorite people: The Vorkinns! Explored Lillehammer, Gjovik and celebrated Anne Lise’s 50th birthday. Drove across the country to hike and shop in Bergen.
I celebrated the 4th of July with friends from home on the Guadalupe River. Went to Las Vegas with my parents and youngest brother for his basketball tournament!
I traveled to Denver with JP to spend time with my brother Ben in Golden and celebrate our friends’, Drew and Mary, wedding! Traveled to Chicago with JP, my dad and sister for my cousin Dan and Ashley’s wedding weekend!
I spent our first of several weekends in College Station for some Fightin’ Texas Aggie Football! Went to Dallas to see Kristin and Kate for a fun weekend away. Celebrated my 27th birthday with amazing friends and family at my parents house!
I spent more weekends in College Station! Ran the Houston half with Chandra and JP as The Incredibles. Rocked some awesome 80’s workout costumes for Halloween week at work!
I conquered my first Tough Mudder with Team Olympus. Traveled to LA for Alison’s 30th birthday at Disneyland! Celebrated Maggie’s 4th birthday. Spent Thanksgiving in College Station!
I traveled to Boston with JP for a final weekend getaway of the year! Celebrated Christmas with both the Timmer and Gougler family.
Now we’re about to ring in the New Year with the Crowsons and the Waites! I’m excited to see what 2015 has in store. I already know of so many amazing adventures that JP and I have in front of us next year. I can’t wait to experience all of them! Bring it on 2015, I’m ready for ya!
