Friday Five: Thanksgiving Edition!

Oh hey there! Did ya miss me? I’ve been away for a bit, just relaxing and staying off of the computer. Kind of weird and kind of awesome.

Since I’ve been gone I haven’t had the opportunity to recap the awesomeness that was my Thanksgiving weekend. So here are a bunch of fun pictures and my top five favorite moments!

one. Quick snap of us pre BCS Turkey Trot
two. Turkey Trot done!
three. Timmer kids at the Gouglers
four. Thanksgiving feast
five. Maggie and Moose playing and of course Moose had to get in Paz’s little pool
six. JP, Trav and Tyler with David Pollack
seven. Tailgating with Emily & Benny!
eight. Aggies Give Thanks!
nine. All of my loves at the tailgate!

Top Five Thanksgiving moments:
one. JP and I ran the Brazos Running Company Turkey Trot in College Station bright and early Thursday morning. The weather was perfect and we were able to pick up our pace a bit. We ended up running the 5K in 25:22 {8:07min/mile pace} and I placed 9th out of 92 in my age group!

two. Thanksgiving at the Gouglers this year was so special. My whole family came up to College Station from Sugar Land, so I was able to have both sides of my family together! We also has some of the Gouglers family friends there to celebrate with us. Together we totaled 25 people! I was in charge of the green bean casserole and Deviled eggs. {I heard that I did a pretty good job}

three. We had our final game day in Aggieland for the season! As always, it’s amazing to see all of our friends. Ashley’s family and my family were able to join us this week which made it even more special. We had a blast despite the way the game ended up…

four. Rest, relaxation and decorating for Christmas at the Timmers! We did a bit of laying around before cleaning up, dragging down the boxes and decking my parents’ house for Christmas. Emily and I did a wonderful job I must say.

five. Celebrating my baby brother’s 17th birthday. We celebrated Matt’s birthday last Sunday with dinner at Gringos followed by presents back at my parents! We decided to celebrate a bit early while the whole family was together. But TODAY is his actual birthday!

Somehow, my little, baby brother is no longer litter and no longer a baby! He stands at 6’4″ tall, is 17 years old and in 11th grade. I’m a little more than 10 years older than him, so I remember every detail of his childhood. He has grown into a handsome, respectful young man and I couldn’t be more proud of him. He is an extraordinary athlete, great brother and good student. I know that his future holds so much for him. I love you so much Matty! Happy Birthday!

On that note, happy Friday y’all! I hope everyone has wonderful day! And just think…only 20 more days until Christmas. The countdown is officially on!
