Once again, I managed to slip away from the blog world and sneak off up north! That’s right! My dad, sister and I hopped on a plane {again…} and headed up to Chicago. We actually spent most of our time in Tinley Park and Sycamore, but we also pit stopped in Chicago and Rockford! We took tons of pictures on my DSLR, but for now, here’s a peek at some of my iPhone shots!

Thursday evening was spent in Tinley Park at Dan & Ashley’s rehearsal dinner.
{Dan is one of my cousin’s up in Illinois. My dad’s younger brother’s son!}
Friday we ventured into the Windy City and explored Navy Pier and a few other hot spots. More details on awesome food and fun tomorrow!
Friday night, we were back in Tinley Park for the big wedding! Such a blast with all my Timmer family.
Saturday we recovered and traveled to my Aunt & Uncle’s home in Sycamore for the after party! More time with family and tons of fun had with the kiddos! Doesn’t JP look right at home with little Nicky on that tricycle?
On Sunday, we ventured up further north to Rockford, my dad’s hometown, to visit with my Aunt Terry & Uncle Tom before heading back to the airport.
We had a blast, took hundreds of pictures, ate lots of food, had a few too many drinks, laughed non stop and had an all around amazing trip. This was JP’s first real experience with my dad’s side of the family. {I don’t count the wedding…too overwhelming!} It’s safe to say he still loves me and my crazy family!
