Quick Fit Fix

Hello world! I was thinking the other day, I changed my blog name almost 4 years ago when I decided to quit my corporate job and pursue a career in fitness. Amy’s Balancing Act. Finding a way to balance everything in life. From family, life adventures and my day to day. To running, workouts and my job as a trainer.

Well that was kind of a long winded way for me to say that I haven’t shared a new workout or really blogging about workouts other than a run here and there! I want to come back to one of the main focuses in this space! Don’t get me wrong, Chloe is absolutely adorable and I love sharing everything about her, but sometimes I just want to focus on me. Fitness is my me space, my happy place.

Last Week’s Workouts:

Monday: Spin class + Tabata class = My usual Monday!
{Would anyone be interested in me sharing some of my spin class music? It could be used for all workouts! I don’t want to bore y’all though if it’s not interesting at all 🙂}

Tuesday: 3.15 miles with Chloe at a 10:00/mile pace

Wednesday: Rest

Thursday: Quick Fit Fix {see below} + 2 mile family walk

Friday: 9 mile run at a 9:47/mile pace

Saturday: Rest

Sunday: Does slip ‘n sliding count as a workout? Because I sure felt it Monday morning!

So that Quick Fit Fix I was talking about from Thursday. Here’s what happened. I had been kind of lazy most of the day and Chloe took a late nap, so I decided to get my booty in gear. Instead of looking up a workout from my little black workout book, I decided to just start moving and go with the flow. This is what I came up with:

I did it in my living room while watching Gilmore Girls with no equipment needed. If you don’t have a rug or a carpet, I would recommend a yoga mat or something of the sort. The good thing about this workout is that once you finish with an exercise, you don’t have to do it again. Just go through the whole workout once and it shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes. If you’re feeling crazy, then you can crank out two rounds!

Here are a few other workouts that you can try at home!

AMRAP Total Body Dumbbell Workout

15 Minute Bodyweight Circuit

UNO Workout Game

If you give it a try, let me know!

I want to know what you think. Also, send me a message or leave a comment if you have any questions about the workout or any of the exercises involved!
