Saw It. Pinned It. Did It: Easy Christmas Card Holder!

I think I’m really starting to notice now that I’m at the age where I receive quite a few Christmas cards. I believe this is what many people call “growing up.” This of course means that I too must send out a Christmas card. Luckily I have the must send out Christmas card mentality instilled in me by my momma. For this I am actually quite thankful. I’m glad that I started the year the hubs and I were married so I can look back on these in 60 years and smile.

Since I’m getting all these cards and my friends is full of save the dates, random pictures and mail that my husband needs to read, I needed a new spot for all of our cards! Enter Pinterest.

I perused and looked for some fun ideas that were super easy because that is all that I’ve had time for lately. (I’m still trying to remember that breathing is required and cannot be “put off” until later because I don’t have time.)  Luckily I had a cute wooden sign that I bought on clearance after Christmas last year – seriously the best time to snag some super cheap and awesome Christmas goods! I do it every year!

So here’s how you do it…

Supplies

Wooden sign {can be pre-made or you can paint it!}
Ribbon
Clothes pins
Hot glue gun

Directions

Cut ribbon to desired length
Glue ribbon to back of wooden sign
{I used two pieces of ribbon, but you can also do 3…or more!}
Clip cards onto ribbon with clothes pins
Taaaadaaaa!

Yes, it’s as simple as that. I didn’t have very much green ribbon, so I opted to use some of the burlap ribbon I recently bought for additional length. What do you think?

I guess I’m trying to make the wall with the thermostat look a little cuter? It’s in such an awkward and totally noticeable spot. Annoying.

So here’s a quick shot that I snapped with my iPhone this morning! So many cards…I only have a little room left! I love getting Christmas cards. It’s really nice to get something in the mail besides junk and bills. I get excited to check the box each day after work. Nerdy? Yes. Do I care? Nope! This time of the year is the best. So much love and giving.

I have tomorrow off, so I’m hoping to get my house cleaned up and maybe accomplish another Pinterest project…or two! That should keep me covered for a few more weeks of Saw It. Pinned It. Did It. with Katie and Steph! Now get your little butt pinning away so you can link up too!

Until next time…
With love and God bless,

Sharing is caring!
