Long Road Trip and a White Christmas!

Happy Friday and Christmas Eve Eve! I hope that everyone is having a wonderful day and get to be with your families during this wonderful time of year! I’m linking up with {av} from {long distance loving} for this week’s White Christmas Edition of My Friday Fancies!

I have a white puffy vest that I love wearing this time of year and never thought about wearing it with white jeans until this White Christmas project came up! I like the simplicity of the white and neutral colors.

Now for the exciting news…WE ARE OFFICIALLY BACK IN TEXAS!!!!! And I couldn’t be happier. I already miss my friends in Pittsburgh, but it’s so great to be back home and with family at this time of year. I want to share some pictures from our road trip!

We started in Pittsburgh and headed west and very quickly found the West Virginia border!

After about a 5 mile drive through the West Virgina panhandle, we were already in Ohio! We spent the night in Columbus and were back on the road by 8am on Tuesday.

Next came Kentucky!

Then Tennessee…my momma’s home state!

And finally we were in ALABAMA to see Andrea! We got there at about 3:45pm on Tuesday and spent the evening chatting it up and of course, downing a large bottle of wine. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Then we spent Wednesday doing yoga, exchanging gift, shopping at Bridge Street in Huntsville and finally we went to the airport to welcome Andrea’s momma home from Iraq! We had to take off at about 6:30pm to get a few hours of driving out of the way.

Once we were back on the road, we managed to make it to Mississippi before taking a sleep break in Meridian!

After a while we made it to Louisiana…

…and FINALLY Texas…the Lone Star State…God’s Country…whatever you want to call it 🙂

One of my favorite signs on I-10 just showing how wide Texas is.

By 5:00pm we arrived at my parents house and it felt so good to be out of the car and home!!! I hope you enjoyed some of the pictures 🙂 It was a fun adventure with my sweet hubby and puppy, but it’s safe to say that we’re all glad it’s over.

I hope everyone has a merry Christmas Eve Eve and I’ll be back tomorrow to talk about Christmas Traditions and stop talking about moving and driving…I’m sure you’re all getting sick of it!

Until next time…
With love and God bless,

Sharing is caring!
