Tacky Sweater Weekend!

This weekend was the last weekend JP and I would have all of our belongings in our house in Pittsburgh. Crazy right? I swear it feels like we just got here and are finally settled and happy in the northeast! It was definitely a weekend filled with food, friends, baking, beer, wine, sweaters and of course, fun!

Friday night Maria and I were baking up a storm. {Recipes for some to follow later this week!}We made:
Peanut Butter Blossoms

Rolo Pretzels

Christmas Brownie Bites

Sugar Cookies
Cake Batter Truffles
Cookie Dough Dip
Here’s the whole spread:

So many yummy goodies!

Baking just isn’t the same without a bottle of wine between two friends, so I finally busted out my Dirty Girl wine that I bought in Fredricksburg last October!

Maria and I with some of our treats!

Saturday started out with a freezing cold 7 mile run for me, followed by breakfast at Pamela’s on the strip! The run went much better than I anticipated. I wanted to run at the gym and remembered at the last minute that the gym didn’t open until 8:00am on the weekends. So, I got all bundled up to face the 24 degree morning and headed to my favorite running location: The Montour Trail!

7 miles in exactly 1 hour!

Not the best pic since my cheeks were frozen, but I did it!

A hearty breakfast downtown with JP, Matt and Maria was just what I needed after that run! Afterwards, JP and I went home and started cleaning up before everyone came over for our Tacky Sweater Christmas/Going Away Party! It ended up being a HUGE success! All of our closest friends in Pittsburgh came and had a blast. Here are a few pics from the night {some are a little blurry!}:

Sunday was less than productive. I made Texas shaped waffles for all of our guests that stayed the night. Once everyone left, JP, Maggie and I barely left the couches! We watched the Texans beat the Bengals in the last minute of the game and the Packers completely dominate the Raiders! Even though we weren’t productive, at least our football teams were!

In other news, I won two different giveaways for beautiful necklaces! A BIG thank you to Alison at {long distance loving} for hosting the give away and Elizabeth at Spike the Punch for providing your awesome necklace for the giveaway! Also a BIG thank you to Meg at Henning Love for hosting and Jamie at The News from LaFuze for rosette necklace! I’m so excited that I actually won and I can’t wait to wear my newest pieces of bling!

Sorry for bombarding y’all with pictures! I hope you enjoyed your weekend and that Monday is going smoothly. It’s going to be a busy week here, but I have some exciting things to share as the week progresses! Happy Monday and talk to y’all tomorrow.

Until next time…
With love and God bless,

Sharing is caring!
