THE Shoes

You know what shoes I’m talking about right? Cinderella’s glass slipper? The shoes every girl dreams about? That’s right. Wedding shoes. They’re kind of a big deal. I mean Marilyn Monroe had it right…

Today’s My Friday Fancies is all about shoes, so I figured that instead of creating an outfit around a pair of shoes, I would talk about my favorites pair(s)! I’ve realized that I haven’t shared too much about my wedding on this blog since I started blogging after I was married! Over the next few weeks, I’ll be letting you behind the scenes of the Timmer-Gougler wedding. I’m not going to lie, it’s my favorite wedding 🙂 So today I’m linking up with Alison over at {long distance loving} for…

Let’s face it…I’m a pink kind of girl. I love anything and everything pink. While I didn’t want my wedding colors to be focused on pink, I knew that I needed it somewhere. Duh…THE SHOES!!!

Shoes are one of the perfect places to add a hint of color to your bridal look. I’m also fond of the ‘Something Blue’ being the brides shoes. But like I said, I’m a pink kind of girl.
Finding the perfect pair of wedding shoes was extra special too. One of my bridesmaids and friend since elementary school, Kristin, wasn’t able to be there when I picked out my dress, but she helped me find my shoes! This is super fitting since she’s a shoe fanatic!

My girls got to pick out their favorite pink shoes as well! I love the pop of color and all the different types of shoes they picked out. It gave each of them a chance to be individuals despite the fact that they were all wearing the same exact dress! Gasp…no one wants to be caught dead in the same outfit at a big event 🙂 Just kidding. I guess a wedding is the exception! They looked beautiful!

Have I mentioned that I also love maroon? It’s definitely in the pink/red family and seeing as though it is THE color of Texas A&M, I’m kind of a big fan. Thus, you will notice my maroon boots in the pic above for the reception! I am a Texas country kind of girl and need my dancing boots in order to dance the night away {which I did}.
How do you feel about colorful wedding shoes? Did you choose a special color for your big day?
I’d love to hear your thoughts!
Happy Friday! I’m headed to a wedding in Waco, TX this weekend…I love weddings. Have a great weekend and I’ll talk to y’all again on Monday!

Until next time…
With love and God bless,

Sharing is caring!
