Friday Favorites: November 2019

Featuring some of my favorite things as of November 2019! Including Christmas decor, cozy sweaters and some must have home tech!

I’ve spent the last few weeks starting to go through my old posts on this blog. If you’re new around here, you may not realize that I have over 1,000 posts since starting this project of mine in 2011. My goal is to delete irrelevant posts and posts with too many broken links. Most of these posts are actually from one of my favorite link ups from back in the day. (Anyone else remember how fun link ups were?)

On Wednesdays, I would link up for What I’m Loving Wednesday and Oh! How Pinteresting! The whole purpose was to write about things, people and places that make you happy as well as sharing awesome links and pins from the week. Back in 2011 and 2012, Pinterest was still quite new and finding new pins to share was such fun! Unfortunately the way I embeded pins into posts back then no longer works, so my posts are quite broken.

I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite things as of the past couple of months similar to how I shared all the things I loved many years ago! Let’s take a look at my Friday Favorites for November 2019!

My Christmas Shelves

Everything about this picture is my favorite! Decorating my shelves every year is one of the first things I do to get into the Christmas spirit. I love everything about how they turned out this year.

I’ll link some of the items below in case you’re interested in adding them to your holiday decor collection!

Noel sign (mid left) – Similar in white

White Bird with hat and scarf (mid left)

Green (bottom left) and Plaid (bottom right) Trees

Joy sign (bottom right) – Similar in galvanized metal

Leopard Color Block Sweater

Leopard color block sweater from Amazon.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen me post this sweater in my stories. The fabulous Jenna Schaben (follow her @jennaschaben for awesome low priced fashion finds) posted this sweater and I had to have it. Better yet, it came the very next day. Prime for the win! It’s super cozy and so soft. I ordered up a size to a medium for a more oversized fit!

Ring Doorbell

I’ve been hinting at JP that I really wanted a Ring over the past several months and he finally bought one this past weekend. It turns out the reason I got the Ring is because it was on sale and you could get an Echo Show with it for just $10 more. I would definitely recommend waiting for a good pairing deal on this one! It would make for an awesome Black Friday purchase as I’m sure Amazon will have a good deal.

Echo Show

The reason the Echo Show pairs so great with the Ring Doorbell is that you can tell Alexa to show you the front door camera! Ours is in the kitchen which isn’t in the line of sight of the front door, so it’s great to have as a stay at home mom.

You can also set it up to scroll through various different screens when not in use. We have the time, current weather and forecast, as well as Aggie and Texans sports scores. Clearly JP set it up for us! I was a big fan of our Echo Dot and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to get an Echo Show. So worth it and I’ve only just begun!

Time and Tru Slip on Sneakers

Trust me and just get these! I’m obsessed with these adorable slip on sneakers from Walmart. Yes, I said Walmart! They have truly stepped up their game and have tons of cute and affordable fashion options for everyone in the family. These shoes have been my go to lately and have replaced my go to sandals now that it’s fall. I even raved about them in my Instastories! If you’re not a fan of Walmart, just click here and take a look. I wear my true size 9 in these and love the memory foam insole.

I’m rocking the leopard print shoe in the photo below along with this top from Amazon (I’m in a small) and my favorite prAna jeans!

My Awesome, Supportive Family

I couldn’t do a Friday Favorite’s post without including them! They’re my rocks and everything that keeps me going each day. This is around mile 11 of the Cypress Half Marathon this past weekend. JP hopped on the course with the kids just after mile 10 because he had to get back to the finish somehow. Might as well run with me! More details to come on Monday when I share my race recap. It’s been forever since I’ve done a race recap and I can’t wait to share!

  2. Oh my goodness!!! That shelf is to die for! This is holiday goals right here. Where do you find your inspo?

    1. Thank you so much Cendu! Decorating for the holidays is my favorite. I get a little inspo from Pinterest and a lot of it comes from the heart. Silly as it sounds, I love testing and placing things to see where they fit best. A little holiday music makes it even more fun!
