This Friday I have something special to share! My very first bumpdate! Which I’m sure you already figured out from the post title. Crazy, I know. First, let’s take a glimpse back at some pictures from my first trimester!
My mom had the idea that I should wear the same outfit each week. I decided to keep it simple and stick with an outfit that will stretch and grow with me! Gotta love my Lulu leggings. Now let’s move onto my first official bumpdate!
How Far Along? 15 weeks
Size of Baby: A navel orange!
Weight Gain: Up a total of 4 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight
Maternity Clothes: Not yet. Luckily I wear spandex to work and all of that is quite stretchy. I’ve been wearing roomier shirts since some days I look like I ate too much! My jeans are still fitting me fine, but I need to unbutton them when sitting after I’ve eaten!
Stretch marks: Not yet (and hopefully never!), but I’m definitely using cocoa butter already to prevent them!
Symptoms: Headaches, lightheadedness when I stand up, mood swings
Cravings: Salty snacks, hummus and veggies esp bell peppers, grapes, smoothies, almond milk. I’ve really been drawn to colder foods the past few weeks!
Gender: We find out on February 17th, but only my mom will know until our gender reveal on February 28th!
Mood: I’m pretty up and down honestly. I’m beyond happy about little Baby G, but man my mood swings are wild. Waking up before 4 am probably doesn’t help much! Today I’m super happy and in a great mood!
Nursery: We’ll start working on that after we know the gender! My mom and I have some awesome secret Pinterest boards and my mother-in-law has offered to help paint and decorate!
Movement: Not yet, hoping it will happen in a few weeks!
Sleep: Getting better! During the week I get about 7 hours a night with a few mid-night potty breaks. It doesn’t feel like enough though, so I sleep in a TON Friday-Sunday!
Workouts: Still rockin’ in. I’m running at least 3 times per week, just a little slower. I’m also teaching my classes and keeping my heart rate in check. Mostly, I just take the high intensity exercises down to the modified level.
What I Miss: A glass of wine here and there or a mimosa at brunch!
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really. I’m quite hungry lately which is a nice change after several weeks of constant queasiness.
Best Moment This Week: Telling my classes at work about Baby G! They were so happy for me, but worried I wouldn’t come back. I let them know that I would be back Mondays and Wednesdays just for them 🙂 and my other clients!
Labor Signs: No
Looking Forward To: Baby G’s first trip to Disney World and 2nd half marathon this month!
It’s safe to say I was bloated week 13 since I shrunk back a little the following week! Though most say that I’m not showing, I can feel and kind of see it! There is a shadow of a bump in some pictures and you can see just a little bit in the pictures above.
I’m going to keep up with these weekly on Fridays because this is such an important part of my life right now! Plus, I know that there are enough people out there that want to know what’s going on with me and Baby G!
