Take me to the Cape!

So yesterday we left off with Alison, Ashley and I all rocking our races and finishing with new personal records! We cleaned up really quickly before jumping in the car and exploring! With only a four day vacation, we had tons to pack into our short time!

We started our adventure driving to Hyannis to visit the restaurants, shops and boutiques on Main Street! We were naturally starving and immediately needed lunch so we stopped at a cute little place that served Greek food! We all started with tomato bisque and then I got the muscles in a white wine sauce. Hello yum. {You’ll notice that food quickly becomes a theme of this trip. We ate all the food.}

With full bellies we were ready to explore and shop! There were tons of boutiques, jewelry stores, antique and consignment shops and candy/ice cream shops!

We all ended up buying something from a cute store called Bella of the Cape and the Kandy Korner pictured above! After a few hours of walking around {yes, this is all after running a half marathon!}, we decided to catch the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard for dinner. We knew it would be a quick trip, but the ferry ride was worth it! Plus, you can drink wine on the ferry. #winning.

Here are some of the shots I took!

Ali and Char stayed inside while Ashley and I took pics! It was chilly!

After our 45 minute trip, we arrived at the Vineyard and had to take the touristy stop at The Black Dog! We all got something! I had to especially since I have my own little black dog!

Then we headed to dinner at a very nice restaurant called Saltwater. And naturally, dinner began with a bottle of wine 🙂 and was followed by the most delicious dinner and dessert! We were stuffed, but birthday dessert was mandatory!

Then we took a quick walk back to catch the last ferry of the night, but not before snapping a pic with the Martha’s Vineyard map! Proof with were there!

Once we made it back to our resort, we crashed….hard. We pretty much crammed multiple days into one, but it was so worth it!!!

Day 3 of our trip spent in Boston comes tomorrow! Happy hump day y’all!
