Behind a Balancing Act

It’s safe to say that Friday was a big day for me. Last day working in the office and a complete and total blog makeover by the fabulous Erin at Love, Fun and Football. And by complete and total, I mean the whole nine yards…colors, design, NAME! As much as I loved A Glimpse of the Gouglers, this little blog of mine is changing and evolving. I wanted to make sure the name fit the content and the direction I want it to take. So what’s in a name?

I started my blog originally to share our lives with family and friends when we were in Pittsburgh. After finding the blogging community, reading countless blogs and finding my nitche, I realized that like my career was changing the blog needed to change a bit too.

A Balancing Act is described as a difficult situation in which you try to achieve several different things at the same time {via}.

We all struggle with finding balance. We’re constantly fumbling around trying to balance, control and level all the details in our lives. Y’all I’m a Libra. I know all about requiring balance and control. Apparently the stars say that my life’s journey is balancing opposites, creating harmony and establishing healthy relationships. Well really, I’m just a girl trying to balance all the nonsense in this crazy thing we call life!
Now that I’ve started my new journey in health and fitness, I want my blog to represent that too. Over the past year, I’ve included more workout and exercise posts along with healthy living, running and recipes for y’all. I don’t want it to turn into a total healthy living and fitness blog though. I want to find balance and still share my healthy lifestyle with y’all while still blogging about my dogs, my husband, Aggie football and all my adventures. Thus A Balancing Act was born.
I’m so excited for this new journey and I hope that y’all stick around and experience it with me! I also just want to say THANK YOU for all the love and support I’ve received from friends, family and the blogging community on my career change. I know this is the right path for me and y’all really helped to confirm and solidify that for me! I’m still working on responding to all of your sweet comments and emails 🙂
Lastly, I finally have a Facebook page for my blog! If you’re feeling in the Facebook mood, go ahead and like it for me!
