My Mizuno Wave Sayonaras

The following post is being sponsored by FitFluential LLC on behalf of Mizuno.

I found my first pair of Mizuno running shoes in March 2011 and fell absolutely in love. My first pair were the Wave Rider 14’s and you better believe I wore them down. Then bought another. Then switched to the 15’s. And bought another. Then on to the 16’s. Why fix something that isn’t broken right?

When I was presented with the opportunity to review a brand spankin’ new pair of Mizunos that haven’t even been released, you better believe I jumped on that! And oh my goodness, I’m not looking back!

Starting today, Mizuno introduces the Wave Sayonara!

At only 7.1oz for women (and 8.1 oz for men) ,these are the lightest everyday training shoes made by Mizuno yet! Speed is more accessible than ever and something that can be obtained on a daily basis. I feel like I’m flying in these babies! The Sayonara is light, low to the ground and versatile. The foam midsole helps cushion your foot without added weight and bulk. I have high arches and these do a great job of supporting my arch and molding to my foot.

I’ve taken these babies for several runs and enjoyed every minute of it! My Wave Riders are starting to get a bit jealous 🙂

Taking off on a 3 miler!
Bringing it on home! Happy Feet, Happy Run!

The Wave Sayonara’s also have the Mizuno Wave Technology that provides the perfect balance of lightweight cushioning and stability. These are great for running in the great outdoors and on a treadmill if you’re stuck inside due to the summer heat (like we are down in South Texas).

Since I’m finding myself doing most of my weekly runs on treadmills these days, I’ve created a fun treadmill workout to share with y’all! No more boring runs at the same pace and incline. Time to crank it up and push yourself!

For example, my comfortable average pace is about 6.8 mph on the treadmill. So my sprint is generally between 7.5mph and 8.0 mph depending on how hard I push it! I usually increase my speed for each sprint. When you bump up to 0.2 about my average pace, I would be at a 7.0 and so forth. It really helps to push you out of your comfort zone and work those legs for race season!

Speaking of races, I took my Mizuno Sayonaras out for a 4th of July race yesterday! I got one of my quickest 5K times recently at 25:43! Not to shabby if you ask me 🙂

Next time you’re out searching for the perfect running shoe, be sure to try on the Wave Sayonaras. I promise you won’t regret it!

Until next time…
With love and God bless,

Sharing is caring!
