ABC’s of Amy

I love that I have to say this…some how, some way this little blog of mine reached over 500 followers! How did that happen? I am completely amazed at how many people are actually interested {or pretend to be interested 🙂} in all my crazy ramblings! Now, I wouldn’t be a good host if I didn’t divulge a little bit of information about myself! I mean, you want to know more about me, right? Of course you do. So let’s dive into the ABC’s of yours truly!

A is for Age: 25 1/2 years old. Yes, I added the half. My half birthday is actually tomorrow! Still trying to convince my husband that this is indeed something to celebrate!

Me and the hubs the day after my 25th birthday! Heading to watch the Ags BTHO Arkansas especially for me!

B is for Book: My favorite book of all time is Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. I love all of his books. My recent obsession is The Divergent Trilogy: Divergent – Insurgent – 3rd to be released in October. I can’t wait! I’m currently reading the 3rd book in The Mached Trilogy: Reached. I really love to read 🙂

C is for Chore You Hate: Doing the dishes. I just can’t stand it. Luckily the hubs and I have a she who cooks does not clean policy!

D is for Drink of Choice:

  • Non-alcoholic: Water – no lies, love that stuff
  • Alcoholic: Wine – red, white or sparking {aka champagne}depending on my mood 🙂 or Vodka water with lime
Sippin’ some bubbly on NYE with Alison and Travis!

E is for Essential Start to Your Day: Washing my face and brushing my teeth. I don’t feel like a human without doing this. I also love my morning cup of coffee. I only have one, no need for more. I think I enjoy it most for the flavor and warmth in the morning. It’s comforting. I have so much natural energy that I don’t really need caffeine 🙂

F is for Favorite Color: Pink, no ifs, ands or buts about it.

G is for Game to Play or Watch: Football. I love to play flag football and watch real football. College – Texas A&M Aggies and Pro – Green Bay Packers!

Running back extraordinaire right there! Yes, I’m the one in the pink sleeves with the ball.

H is for Height: 5’6″

I is for Instruments You Play: I played the clarinet in middle school and took a piano lessons when I was younger. Pretty much I can just read music these days.

J is for Job: Sales Operations Analyst for a business consulting firm. Basically I do sales analytics & reporting, CRM admin and configuration, assist in sales strategy and planning and do whatever I can to help my boss keep everything in order!

K is for Kids and Names: No human kids…yet. For several more years. That’s the current goal at least. I do have my fur child though. Miss Maggie. She’s the best 🙂

L is for Life is Incomplete Without: My friends and family. I know it’s cheesy and cliche, but it’s just the truth. I don’t think I could be who I am today without them. They help me to be the best version of me. That’s what friends and family are for right? On another random note, I’m not sure life would be very complete without peanut butter or running. They’re big parts of my life. What can I say?

M is for Marriage: I’m beyond bless to have found my soul mate at an early age. We’ve been together since 2006 just after I turned 19. We’ll celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary exactly 2 weeks from today! April 10th

O is for Other Names: Ames, Amester, Amy Cat, Cat, Kitten, Cheer Butt, Knothead, the list goes on and on. Rarely does anyone in my family call me Amy 🙂

P is for Phobias/Fears: I am terrified of the dark. No way, no thank you. I literally panic. I also can’t stand spiders, large bugs and snakes. Lastly, I have a crazy fear of becoming fat – Obesophobia – it’s real.

R is for Reason to Smile: Each day is another day for me to wake up, pursue my dreams, grow in my faith, love my family and live my life exactly the way I want to.

S is for Season: Fall. It starts out warm down south, but that’s also when cooler days start to find their way to Houston. It’s also the most beautiful season up north. I have the best fall pictures from Pittsburgh. Oh and my birthday is in the fall. Number 1 reason right there.

Love the changing colors of the trees heading up the Duquesne Incline!

T is for Time You Wake Up: Between 5am and 7am depending on the day. If I’m not working out, usually 6:15-6:30am. I get to sleep in on Fridays! Saturday and Sunday I’m easily up by 8:00am. Darn internal clock!

U is for Unknown Fact About Me: My elbows are double jointed and I can turn my belly button inside out. My sister can do it too. She taught me 🙂 Another random bit, I love being the center of attention {no stage fright or shyness here} what that doesn’t come as a surprise to y’all? Well, I’ve been like that my whole life. See exhibit A.

Exhibit A: Yes, I’ve been sassy and not camera shy my whole life.

V is for Vegetable You Dislike: Peas. Like regular frozen peas or the kind from a can. Sick nasty.

W is for Worst Habit: Playing with/twirling my hair. It’s habit for me to just start messing with it when I’m bored or don’t know what to do with my hands!

X is for X-rays You’ve Had: Multiple on my arm from where I broke it in several places and my bone came through my skin. I had to have surgery twice for that one. I also had my toe x-rayed when I nearly severed it by dropping a glass jar of spaghetti sauce on my foot.

Y is for Yummy Food: I actually enjoy eating healthy. I love vegetables and fruit. My guilty pleasures are Mexican food, pizza and sweets! I have the worst sweet tooth in the world!

Z is for Zoo Animal: This one is tough. I love the zoo. Love. Y’all I have a season pass to the zoo and can go whenever my heart desires. I would say my faves are the giraffes or elephants!

So there you have it! The ABC’s of Amy! Maybe you learned something new, maybe I’m completely predictable and you didn’t either way it’s kind of entertaining! Now it’s time for me to get to know you!
