Ghosts of Christmas Past

Happy Friday y’all! Thank goodness this is a short week. I don’t know about y’all, but it’s so hard to get back into the swing of things after a holiday or vacation. Especially after Christmas and New Year’s! But somehow, we’ve made it to Friday and the weekend is quickly approaching. Since I’m still not quite over Christmas yet, I thought I’d have a fun little flashback and share with y’all the Ghosts of Christmas Past aka family pictures from Christmas day over the past few years.
2012: JP – Me – Ben – Emily – Matt
Every Christmas morning we wake up way too early {yes, by choice}, open our presents, go to church, get donuts and take pictures in front of the fireplace despite the boys’ desire to change immediately 🙂
2011: Matt – Me – JP – Emily – Ben

2010: Trisha – Alexis – JP – Me -Matt – Emily – Ben – Momma
This year we actually went to the Christmas Eve service. Let’s just say that was a bit of a disaster. We didn’t get seats, there was no air conditioning and there are a lot of us. We still survived 🙂 Later JP would become very sick and spend the rest of Christmas Eve and all of Christmas day either in bed or hugging the toilet. My poor baby.

2009: JP – Me- Ben – Emily – Matt – Dixie

2008: Andrea – Amy – Ashlee
This is clearly not my family, but my awesome roomies. I can’t seem to find a picture from 2008! This is from our tacky sweater party which was held right after we were all done with finals. It’s still Christmasy and awesome, so this will have to do for now.

2007: Matt – Me – Charlotte – Emily – Stephan – Ben
We spent Christmas 2007 in Lillehammer, Norway. Are you jealous? It was an amazing experience. This picture was taken Christmas Eve after we went sledding. This was serious sledding y’all. So awesome. Probably one of the best Christmas experiences ever.

2006: Me – Charlotte – Emily – Matt – Ben
It’s safe to say that Matt has changed the most since 2006. You can see him getting taller and taller each year! It’s neat to see the changes and so crazy that my baby brother is 15, in high school and towers over the rest of us!

Even though we have tons of family pictures from over the years, I love that I have one from every Christmas day to see how much we have changed over the years. Do y’all take family pictures on Christmas day? Do y’all have any other fun/quirky Christmas day traditions?

Happy Friday y’all! Here’s to making it through the first few days back to reality 🙂

Until next time…
With love and God bless,

Sharing is caring!
