Weird title I know, but what’s even weirder is that right now I’m not thinking about moving. Nope this girl, her hubby and her pup are staying right where we belong in Houston, TX. Pretty awesome right? Not too shocking to most, but to be quite honest, this is kind of a big deal for our little family.
JP and I have been married just over 2 1/2 years. The past 2 Novembers {as in the only 2 we’ve spent together as a married couple} we have been focusing on moving and house hunting.
November 2010, the hubs finally received his official rotation placement which would move us across the country to Pittsburgh. Don’t get me wrong, it was so exciting, but scary and overwhelming at the same time.

November 2011, we knew that we were moving back to the Lone Star State. This time we weren’t renting. Talk about serious. First time home buyers. Once again, exciting, overwhelming, exciting and completely crazy! We were in Texas for Thanksgiving and then had to spend the week after Thanksgiving house hunting. Oh and did I mention, we had to find a place to live in that week. One week. That’s it. No more, no less. We did it and we couldn’t be happier in our little townhome.

Oh and did I mention at we drove across the country just days before Christmas to make it back to Texas?
So that’s it y’all. Here we are, November 2012 and we’re not moving. Hallelujah! This year we get to spend the holiday’s not worrying about where we’re going to live next. I will put my Christmas decor up after Thanksgiving and take it down after Christmas. Totally normal right? Not for us…I felt compelled to decorate early since decor had to come down before actual Christmas in the past!
We’ll see what November 2013 has in store. The hubs is a hot commodity. Who knows maybe we’ll get the moving itch. Or maybe we’ll stay right here where we belong 🙂
Two more little things before I go, {1} it’s officially Election Day!!! Have you voted? If not, get your booty off that seat and head to the polls! It’s your right and privileged to vote. Make it count!
