Okay let’s talk about hair y’all. As you know, I chopped off 12 inches of my hair just over a month ago. 12 inches! That’s a foot! Needless to say it was quite a big difference. For most of my teen/adult life I have been using a Chi straightener. I liked it. It worked great. It lasted FOREVER! Seriously, I had one of the originals and got it when I was a junior in high school – 16 years old. I still have it. However, it’s on it’s last leg. The cord has to be positioned just the right way in order for it to stay on and quite frankly, I’m afraid it might explode or something soon. Cue www.misikko.com and the HANA 1″ Pro. I was super excited when a representative from Misikko contacted me about doing a review on the Hana Pro straightener. Of course I said yes and was thrilled when my package arrived!
Check out all the awesome goodies they sent me!
1. Angel ornament – I plan on putting this on my Christmas tree {106 days and counting!}
2. Hana Pro 1″ Straightener and safe travel bag
3. Heat Proof Pouch
4. Anti-bac and emery boards
5. Eyelash curlers
6. Elf goodies
7. New hairbrush!
8. Hana Style Pro
9. Rose bath soaps
10. Heat pad for your counter!
I’ve tested out the Hana several times and I am pleased to report that I am in love! Seriously, y’all this straightener is amazing. I have thick hair. Yes, it’s short now, but it is still just as thick. Also, now that my hair is short, it doesn’t have as much weight making it straight. I’ve seen some pretty CRAZY things from my hair this past month. I’ve learned that a blow dryer is practically a necessity, air drying looks insane and I better think twice before I go to bed with wet hair!
So here’s a look at before and after…please excuse the iPhone pics. Camera was out of commission at the time!
So interesting lighting, clearly awesome quality and no make up. There you go! You can see a HUGE difference though right? Trust me the back of my hair is completely flipped on on the before pic! I only had to go through with the straightener once…did you read that…once!
Another thing I love about Hana is that it has temperature settings! This way, you can lower the temps for fine hair so it doesn’t do as much damage or you can crank up the heat for anyone with super thick and/or curly hair. The temperature range is from 140*-450* so take your pick!
Seriously y’all, these are my own words and I am a HUGE fan of HANA, so check it out if you’re in the market for a new straightener! If you’re still hooked on CHI, you can also check out their CHI Flat Irons!
So ladies, what do you think? Worth a shot? Do y’all have to straighten your hair every morning? What’s you’re favorite style?
Also, a while back, several of you asked for a how to on this photo from Instagram:
It’s your lucky day because I found a tutorial on Pinterest that does it the exact same way I do it!
So give it a try and let me know what y’all think! Hope everyone has a wonderful Friday and a fantastic weekend. Oh and before I go I have 3 words: GO PACK GO! Gotta love my Packers and glad to see them playing better…and beating the Bears just feels so great!
Until next time…
With love and God bless,
