Bodyweight Workout of the Week

Monday morning, we meet again. Of course I didn’t have this post all lined up and I had a CrAzY morning of meetings, so this one will be short and sweet {I’m booked in meetings from 10:30-12:30pm eeep!} Today I’ve got a quick workout for you to squeeze into your busy day!

Let’s be honest, some days, we just don’t have the time to work out. It is a crazy world we live in and it’s easy to get wrapped up in the business of day to day life. By the end of the evening, sometimes we just want to crash on the couch, turn on the TV and tune into our favorite show or catch up on DVR. Next time, instead of crashing on the couch, just spend a quick 15 minutes doing the workout below and trust me, you’ll feel so much better!

Workout of the Week

  • 50 high knees {Quick count}
  • 40 jumping jacks
  • 30 walking lunges
  • 25 tricep dips
  • 20 push ups
  • 15 sit ups {not crunches, don’t cheat!}
  • 10 burpees
Then repeat!

If you have a little extra time, try to see how many times you can go through the series in 30 or 40 minutes. Don’t just speed through the exercises though, make sure you’re doing them right! All of the above exercises can be done without weights, but if you’re looking for an added challenge grabs some dumbbells or a kettlebell for the lunges and sits ups. The added weight will make you push a little harder!

Just remember, if you think you deserve a reward for a busy day, reward yourself with a bit of exercise. Even if it’s only 15 minutes. Exercise and the ability to do so is a gift…so take it! Reward your body with energy and excitement. You will feel so much better if you do!
