New Year, New Changes

FRIDAY!!! Is it just me or has this week been the LONGEST short week ever? Even longer than the week after Thanksgiving. I blame it on the fact that I am one of the few people from my work that are actually working this week. And to top it off, even though I’m working from home, my entire family is home and NOT working. Thus making me the loser of the week. Luckily it is now Friday and Julie is on her way to come visit me at my parents!!! Then it’s the weekend and the new year! I’m hoping that the new year will bring great new changes to my life and my blog!

Last January, I started this blog in order to keep my family and friends up to date on our adventures and new life in Pittsburgh. For the first several months, it was just that. A place for me to tell stories about my life and share while my loved ones the little this’s and that’s that make me happy. Somewhere along the way, things began to change. I started writing more about my passions. I started linking up with other bloggers, reading other blogs (besides my friends from home), interacting with the blog world and making new friends with people I have never met face to face before. I went from enjoying my blog to falling in love with it. I look forward to telling my stories, recapping my life, writing about what I love and reading all of my bloggy friends blogs! It’s a beautiful little blog world and I am so happy to be a part of it. I’m hoping to grow even more and “meet” more amazing friends this next year.

With the new year, a few new changes will come with my blog. Obviously, I no longer live in Pittsburgh, so now my tales will revolve more around the beautiful south. I also plan to write more about fitness, running, workouts, healthy eating and MORE recipes! Don’t worry, things aren’t changing that much! I’m still going to be linking up with all my buds and writing about whatever comes to my mind. I just wanted to add a bit more focus to health and fitness since that is my passion. Now that I’m back in Texas, I’m hoping to get my Group Exercise instructor position back so I’ll be teaching more and going to more training and certification courses! Fitness, teaching and helping others achieve their goals are passions of mine and are so important to me. I hope to one day be able to focus more on this aspect of my life, so why not start with my blog?! It’ll be fun…I promise 🙂

Now since it’s Friday and tomorrow is New Year’s Eve, it’s time of the NYE Edition of Friday Fancies! I’m linking up with Alison over at {long distance loving}!

I decided to take a different spin on the NYE sparkles! Instead of sequins, how about a metallic shimmer? I saw the dress and thought it would be super fun with colorful pumps, which of course, automatically led me to pink 🙂

The hubs and I are off to the Aggie bowl game tomorrow morning then going to a friends house to ring in the New Year with a bunch of close friends! I hope that everyone has a super safe and fun New Year! Don’t drink and drive!

Until next year…
With love and God bless,

Sharing is caring!
