3 Quick and Easy Halloween Treats for Kids

Lately Chloe has been all about baking in the kitchen or arts and crafts. She always wants to make something, color, decorate and bedazzle. Anything creative, she loves. Luckily Chloe has a really cool Nonna that plans special baking and decorating activities when they’re together! Just the other day, we all went over to my moms and she had the coolest set up waiting for us. Together, we made 3 quick and easy Halloween treats that are perfect for kids!

I love a good craft and getting messy, but it’s always more fun when it’s at someone else’s house. The set up and clean up can be a pain, but today’s crafty treats were super easy and didn’t require too much preparation.

Try these fun Halloween treats with your kids this year! They're quick, easy and tasty too. #halloweenactivities #halloweenfunforkids

Witches Hats

Witches hats are easy Halloween themed treats that you can make at home with your kids! You only need 4 things and there isn't much of a mess!

These cute hats only require 4 things:

Flip your cookie’s chocolate side up and put a thick ring of brown frosting around the hole in the middle.

There needs to be enough to help the Kiss stick with some extra frosting around the Kiss for decorating!

Stick the Kiss right over the hole of the cookie and press down.

Decorate the hat with Halloween sprinkles on the excess frosting! You can always add more frosting if you want a thicker layer of sprinkles.

Monster Rice Krispie Treats

These little monsters are the perfect, fun treat to make with your tots before Halloween. They'd be perfect to serve at a Halloween party or just to eat with the family!

These monsters are a little messier but completely worth it! Here’s what you need:

  • Rice Krispie Treats – you can make them or buy them. We went premade this time.
  • 1 bag of White chocolate baking chips
  • Coconut oil (optional to help with melting)
  • Food coloring
  • Edible eyeballs – we had gummy eyes and the little candies that we found on Amazon which were clearly a hit with Chloe
  • Frosting to make mouths

Melt your chocolate candies in the microwave with a small dab of coconut oil. Coconut oil helps keep the chocolate smooth when heat is applied. We used the microwave in order to make 3 batches with 3 different colors.

Add food coloring of choice to melted chocolate.

Dip Rice Krispie treats into melted chocolate! Change up how much is on each one to make them different. You can also cut the Krispies into different-sized squares and rectangles to make different monsters!

Add eyes, sprinkles, mouths, and whatever you want to personalize your monsters!

Lollipop Ghosts

This last one is super easy, but a big hit! Grab some lollipops, tissues, and some colorful ribbon, string or twine.

Wrap the tissue around your lollipop and tie a bow around it. Bam lollipop ghosts! It’s a fun treat to hand out to trick-or-treaters and your kids can help make them!

All you need are lollipops, tissues and string to make these lollipop ghosts for Halloween!

Now you have 3 quick & easy Halloween treats to make! These are perfect for a Halloween party, pre-trick-or-treat gathering, or just for fun with your family! They’re a big hit with ours as you can see.
