Wow, it’s officially 2013. Still hard to believe that 2012 has come and gone, but excited for yet another fresh start! This year we spent New Year’s Eve in San Antonio, ringing in the New Year with the greatest friends you could ask for. This is our 3rd or 4th year spending NYE together and I couldn’t imagine it any other way. As always, I took too many pictures and couldn’t decide which ones to keep out, so enjoy 🙂
We arrived in San Antonio early afternoon on NYE. The boys played dominoes and washers while the girls watched Pitch Perfect. Watching Pitch Perfect may have become a common trend throughout the night…
Once everyone arrived we got all dolled up for our NYE house party…no driving, best way to do it. Obviously group pictures were necessary.
Clearly I was the photographer for the guys…there are a few more pictures of them 🙂 Once the formality of pictures was underway, the party had begun.
Sangria, champagne, sangria + champagne…yes please! In order to pump up the party, the ladies decided to replay the final performance in Pitch Perfect over and over and over again so that we could memorize the choreography. It was an excellent idea. We are geniuses. I swear I burnt so many calories just from dancing NYE. I was sweating. It was serious.
It’s always a great time with these friends. We’re so lucky to have such a close knit group. We danced and partied the night away, just as NYE should be.
We were sure to have the TV on Dick Clark’s NYE show in time for the clock to strike midnight! Of course, there were lots of kisses, cheers and more dance partying.
Most of us managed to stay up until about 2am and then we were done. Completely exhausted and ready to pass out. It was my kind of New Year.
So here’s to 2013, a new year and another chance to get it right! I’m so excited to see what this year has in store for the Gouglers! In case you missed it, 2012 definitely treated us right, so bring it on 2013!
