Valentine’s Day Crafts for Toddlers

The other day I was thinking about being a stay at home mom and something crossed my mind. I’m not your typical SAHM. I’m not really sure what a typical SAHM does, but I’m pretty sure I’m not one of them. I travel the world and bring my daughter with me. I teach workout classes for fun. I don’t feel guilty about having me time. I don’t have a Pinterest worthy home with Pinterest worthy meals on the table every night. I don’t do hand and footprint crafts for each holiday. I don’t know, maybe there isn’t really a typical SAHM.

Today I was thinking and decided, maybe I’ll give it a go. Holiday arts and crafts that is. Valentine’s Day seemed like a pretty good place to start.

I don’t want to create the wheel, so naturally I went to Pinterest to see where to begin.

DIY Heart Stamps {By Fantastic Fun and Learning}
Shake it up Hearts {by Sunny Day Family}
Shake Painting for Toddlers {by No Time for Flash Cards}
LOVE hand and footprints {by Hello Bee}
Hand Rose Bouquet {by Crafting Journal}
Cardboard Roll Heart Stamp {by Housing a Forest}
Above are some of the ideas that I thought I could swing with my little monster. We have the materials for most of these, but I think I may need to invest in some non-toxic special paint for toddlers. I’m fairly certain that the paints I have are not Chloe proof, so I’ll need to stop by Hobby Lobby for sure!

I’m hoping to take these ideas and turn them into our own version of something awesome. We’ll throw it back to one of my favorite old link ups…Saw it. Pinned it. Did it! Today mine and Chloe’s mission is to craft it up and get back to y’all with which crafts are actually 18 month old approved. Let’s be honest, I’m not sure how still this one is going to go. If she had it her way, she’d be running around all day!

And by running around, clearly I mean driving around. The driver’s seat is her current favorite place to be. {In a car that is turned off with an adult inside for those of you who may starting to think I’m a terrible mother!}

We’re off to get our craft on. Wish me luck y’all! Happy February 1st!

What crafts do you think I should do with Chloe?
Any other ideas would be appreciated!
