Kitchen Renovation Reveal!

Happy Monday y’all! In order to wash away those Monday morning blues, today I’m going to share my kitchen renovation!  Several months ago, JP and I finally decided that we were going to remodel our kitchen. We knew when we bought our home 4 1/2 years ago that we’d need to update it at some point. With all the new townhomes going up around our area, we realized it was a must before we sell.

Now don’t get me wrong, we didn’t go into this with thoughts on selling. We went into it designing the kitchen that I want, that I could enjoy for a while before we sell. Who wants to spend the money and never get to use it?! So this year, instead of going on an anniversary trip, we decided to save our money and put it towards our kitchen.

Starting the renovation process

About a month ago, we interviewed a few different companies and settled on Envision Renovations! It helped that they recently remodeled my friend’s bathroom, and they’re Aggie owned and operated. Aggies love helping Aggies. It’s just what we do! Now let’s take a quick look at what my kitchen looked like 2 weeks ago.

Oddly enough, the renovation process wasn’t as painful as I thought it would be. I went in with lower expectations since I’ve heard some pretty rough reno stories. They told us we were on a one week timeline for the kitchen and another week for our floors. Two weeks total. I assumed it would potentially take a few days longer. I’m pleased to announce that not only did they finish on Friday which marked the 2 week mark, but they worked late Friday to make sure everything was perfect for us.

Working with Envision Design

The guys at Envision Design were very helpful and constantly kept in contact with us. I loved that they knew that the kitchen was my vision, not my husbands. They wanted to run things by me to make me happy. Often, companies will always reach out to the man, simply because he’s “the man.” They knew who was running this project!

The second week they were painting or stripping wood so Chloe and I shouldn’t be in the house. They texted me picture updates and called me throughout the process to make sure that everything was just the way I wanted. It’s little things like that that made me really like and appreciate the work they did for us.

 Our Renovations

Here’s a run down of what we actually did in the kitchen:

  • New quartz counter tops
  • New glass subway tile backsplash
  • Freshly painted cabinets {same color}
  • New stainless steel appliances
  • New farm house sink and faucet
  • Refinished and stained wood floors

The Finished Product

Without further ado, here is our finished product!

I am absolutely in LOVE! This weekend we had to let our floors set, so we didn’t get our furniture back in the house until yesterday. I’m looking forward to getting everything back into place and having a cleaning crew come in to get the extra dust off of everything!

So tell me…
What do you think?
Have you ever done a renovation on your home?
Have a wonderful week y’all!
