Weekly Workout Roundup

So I don’t usually post on Sundays mostly because I generally avoid the computer during the weekends. I guess this is because I am behind the computer for most of the work week. #workingirlproblems I really want to link up with Meghan for Weekly Workout Roundup, so I’m going to try hard to make it happen 🙂

Let’s get right to it…

This Week’s Workouts
Monday: 1000’s workout…killer {see below}
Tuesday: Modified AMRAP workout {see below} +2 miles ~ 8:10 pace
Wednesday: OFF
Thursday: 2.5 mile power walk with the pup
Friday: OFF
Saturday: Does going to the race expo count?
Sunday: 13.1 Miles – Dallas Rock ‘n Roll Half Marathon {recap to come this week!}

Not terrible, but not great. I haven’t been able to run too much due to stupid allergies. No fun y’all. No fun at all. I’m hoping to start adding more variety to my workouts because I won’t be able to run as much during the summer. Plus it’s not a bad break. I don’t want to get burnt out on my favorite form of exercise! Not to mention, variety makes you stronger and increases your endurance!

So here are the two workouts that I mentioned from Monday and Tuesday!

This 1000’s workout is serious. I did it Monday and the hubs tried it out on Tuesday. I felt kind of jello-y if you know what I mean! Totally worth it though. It took me just barely under 20 minutes to complete!
Another serious workout! I knocked it from 7 to 5 minutes since I was running in between each set. I started with a 1/2 mile lap and then did a lap after each set. This took me around 30 minutes then I took Maggie on a little walk to get me close to 40 minutes of moving!
