A not so lazy “lazy weekend”

It’s funny how I manage to cram so much into my “lazy weekends” in Houston. I go into the weekend saying I have no plans, but in all reality, that’s not true at all. This weekend was another one of my said “lazy weekends” and let’s be honest, I’m just not a “lazy” person. I don’t know how to nap. I don’t know how to just sit around. I like to being doing something. All the time. Even when I’m sick. Yup this girl is either having some serious allergy issues or a sinus infection. I’m sure going to the doctor could solve this mystery, but that actually involves going to the doctor. No thanks. Anywho, here’s how my “lazy” weekend went down.

Friday I…

  • Left work early {like 4:00pm since I could count the number of people in the office on one hand}, went home and read my book {Requiem recap later} for about an hour
  • Went to the nail salon with Nicole for a relaxing spa pedicure!
  •  Ate dinner at Pronto, drank wine and chatted for a while
  • Read more of my book until it was time for bed

Saturday I…
  • Was supposed to wake up early for an 11 mile run, but said allergies/sinus infection said hell no! So for once I listened to my body and slept for another hour! Go me 🙂
  • Took Miss Maggie on a 1.5 mile walk to make up for not running
  • Made Texas shaped chocolate chip waffles for the hubs and I
  • Went to Sugar Land for the afternoon/evening
  • Took too many pictures of Maggie
  • Laid out by my parents pool and finished my book
  • Ate some yummy barbecue and spent time with the fam!
Sunday I…
  • Woke up feeling like crap again
  • Drank coffee and watched some DVR
  • Walked to Whole Foods with the hubs to pick up fresh fruits and veggies and had brunch
  • Met up with some fabulous blogger ladies at The Tasting Room and had the most delicious frozen sangria in the world!
  • Played Dance Central at home with the hubs
  • Ate lots of Mexican food at Lupe Tortilla with Chandra and Michael!
  • Fell asleep watching Harry Potter.
Clockwise from top left:
Too bad I didn’t decide to start taking pictures until the end! So many awesome ladies were there. Some old, some new! I love meeting new people and seeing old friends. These blogger meet ups are always the best and I’m glad I finally got to go to one after so long!!!
Like I said my “lazy weekend” ended up not so lazy. There was some resting, laying out and movie/DVR watching but not as much as one would expect. That’s okay with me though. I’m used to my life being in constant motion. That’s how we get everything in right? I don’t want to miss anything or let life just skate by!
Do you enjoy having lazy weekends?
Can you actually be lazy during these weekends or do you still find a way to go go go?
