Dinosaur Nursery Reveal

Today marks 36 weeks pregnant and instead of a bumpdate, I have something even more exciting for y’all! We’ve pretty much finished up Baby B’s dinosaur nursery. That being said, today seemed as good as any to share our official dinosaur nursery reveal!

This dinosaur nursery project is so special to me because I absolutely love dinosaurs. I’m not exactly sure why, but I have for a long time. I knew when I had a little boy that his nursery would be dinosaur themed!
Take a look at all the details in our dinosaur nursery along with links to where we purchased everything! #dinonursery #dinosaurroom #dinosaurs #dinotheme

I’m fairly certain that Chloe’s nursery was completed before the 36 week mark. I did have my second shower at 36 weeks, so it was shortly after that I’m sure. With Chloe’s nursery, we completed it gradually and had lots to do and lots to buy. My mother in law painted her room pink, we bought her crib and glider, my friend made her dresser and the decor came from shower gifts and things I bought throughout my pregnancy. This time everything just kind of came together.

When we transitioned Chloe to her big girl room, we moved her crib, dresser and glider into the nursery. The walls were already painted and the tree decal was left on the wall by the previous owner. I started buying little things here and there, but most of the decor was gifted to us during our shower a few weeks ago or I picked it up from Hobby Lobby.

As far as completing our dinosaur nursery goes, there are a couple of things I still need to do. I plan to set up a reading corner on the wall to the left of his triceratops toy bin {see first picture.} I have a couple of Ikea spice racks that need to be painted white and hung along with a dinosaur cork board and ABC print. I also need two more knobs for his dresser, but finding just the right ones is proving to be challenging. {And no, I can’t get any more brontosauri unfortunately.} Lastly, the hamper will likely be moved to his closet, but it’s too cute not to show off!

UPDATE: Now that our sweet baby boy is here, you can read all about his crazy birth story! Let’s just say I felt a lot of feelings, but overall it was the BEST birth I could have imagined.

What was your baby’s nursery theme?

    1. Thank you so much! We were lucky because the previous owners actually did the tree decal. I knew when we moved in that it had to stay and would be perfect for a nursery!

Here do I find those adorable Dino knobs for the dresser?!?!

    1. I haven’t been able to find the ones that I got for Brody’s room since there were only 2 left on Amazon when I bought them! Here are a few similar options.

    1. That is so fun! I love decorating rooms and giving them a fun theme!

  6. This looks amaaazing!! You did this for a boy, but my daughter is a huge dinosaur lover. We’ve got dinosaur toys, fossils, and even dinosaur bedsheets at our house 😀

    1. That’s amazing! My older daughter is actually a big dinosaur lover too. It all stems from their mom being oddly obsessed. Dinos are for everyone!

  7. Oh my goodness, Amy! I’m in LOVE! I absolutely adore this dinosaur themed nursery, how cute! It’s just lovely. I love the more neutral color choices(with just pops of blues) as well, it can easily work for girls too! Who says dinos are only for boys right?! This nursery is starting to give me baby fever LOL!

    1. Totally for girls or boys! My daughter loves this room (and dinosaurs) so much. She may have gotten that love from her momma. What can I say? Dinosaurs are so neat!

  8. Do you remember the name of the paint color you used here for the walls? We actually picked this same bedding and when I saw your post with the bedding and I saw the wall color you picked, I knew it was perfect

    1. It’s rainwash from Sherwin Williams! I dug out the paint can to confirm!
