This Weekend I…

Ah Monday, we meet again. You know what I haven’t done in a while? Just share day to day life, weekend updates and whatnot. I can’t even remember the last time that I did a weekend post. I’m sure you were all missing it like crazy. Since I actually had an eventful weekend full of fun pictures, let’s just get straight to it!

Friday I…
…took Chloe to a read and play date with some old and new friends! My friend Chelsea is an Usborne Books consultant {Let me know if you’re interested, I’d love to hook you up with her!} and she set up a fun morning with reading, crafts, snacks and of course playing!

…went to gymnastics! I started back in May and I’m totally hooked. A gym nearby has an adult gymnastics class on Friday afternoons and I’m totally obsessed. We warm up and tumble on the floor and trampoline for the first 45 minutes or so then the last 15 we work on an event if we want. This week we did the bars, and I was able to do my back hip circle which I haven’t done in years and years. I wish I had a fun video or photo from this week to show y’all. Check out Insta for some of my previous tricks!

Saturday I…
…woke up early and took off for a 5 mile run! It’s running season again and I’ve have races on the docket to get ready for! First one is coming up on the 21st. I’m running a 10K with my girl Rachael hoping to get a good qualifying time for an earlier corral at Disney!

…got showered, packed and ready to go to College Station!

…pitt stopped at Bucees because every good road trip needs a Bucees stop and my daughter is completely obsessed. She loves to see everything that’s going on and she loves their chicken strips. It’s hilarious. Now every gas station I stop at, she thinks its Bucees and wants to go in.

…went to my in laws house for an awesome tailgate! It’s always so wonderful that every game day we get to spend the weekend with them. They’re the most awesome tailgate hosts and have friends that come from all over Texas and Oklahoma to stay with them. This weekend was their annual tailgate for Phil’s Corps platoon!

…went to the Texas A&M vs Alabama game! It was such a great game!!! We lost 27-19, but as far as I’m concerned that is a moral victory. We went in hoping not to get completely swept away, and we came out looking so much better than planned. Meena and I sat together while JP sat up with his dad. Meena and I were yelling and cheering so loud that our throats were sore the next morning. If that doesn’t show how invested we were, then I don’t know what does. Also, this is the only picture I took besides a few Snap videos! We were too into the game!

On Sunday I…
…hung out at my in laws home for our traditional post game day Sunday brunch! There were so many different delicious dishes, sweet rolls, coffee and bloody marys.

…rounded up the troops and headed back home to Houston around noon completely and utterly exhausted.

…lounged on the couch, watched the Packers vs Cowboys game with JP & Meena, read books with Chloe and just hung out for the rest of the afternoon! PS the Packers won! Poor Meena is a Cowboys fan and this is the second year in a row that she’s watched the game with us and lost. She’s my new lucky charm!

…pretty much did nothing because I was just wiped out. I finally decided to just go to bed shortly after halftime of the Texans game because I kept falling asleep on the couch. I couldn’t hang with the big kids.

All in all it was a wonderful weekend! Now I’m looking forward to a wonderful week full of great days and new adventures! Happy Monday y’all!

What makes a weekend “great” for you?
For me it’s definitely spending time with my loved ones and it doesn’t hurt to have my football teams win!
