I actually had a weekend worth writing about!

Seriously y’all, I actually did some stuff this weekend. Fun things in Houston. I didn’t travel. I didn’t got to a party or social gathering. I still relaxed and lounged in my PJs. And I did some awesome, fun things in the city of Houston. If you live and Houston and you’re bored, you aren’t getting out there because there is so much to do when you have the time and try! So here we go…
  • Work…duh
  • Dinner at El Big Bad with JP, CJ and Paula!
  • Once the Musical at Hobby Center. It was such a good show! I wasn’t sure about it at first because it took me a bit to figure out where it was going, but the story line was real and understandable. I didn’t love the ending, so I guess I’ll have to take that up with the writer 😉
  • I woke up that morning at 3:45am and didn’t go to bed until 11:00pm. Hello tired. And I didn’t even take a nap. Plus I worked out. I gave myself a gold start and a pat on the back!

  • Not even worth writing about. I laid on the couch all day long. Exhausted and border line miserable. I blame the 19 hour day I had on Thursday!
  • Breakfast from Whole Foods with my hubby!
  • Relaxing morning included watching soccer and reading in the tub
  • Afternoon at the Houston Zoo!A very delayed Valentine’s date since we were supposed to go on Valentine’s Day before I ended up in the ER.
  • Quick trip to HEB to get the goods for dinner which was homemade pulled pork baked potatoes! An excellent life choice indeed.
  • Easy evening on the couch watching Mockingjay Part 1

  • It was Moose’s 2nd birthday! Love that happy little boy’s face!
  • Church with Chandra and Michael
  • Errand running and late lunch date with JP
  • Fun and exciting Memorial Park adventure with the pups for Moose’s big day! We took them on a walk around the 3 mile loop. It was fun, but exhausting for this pregnant, injured lady. The pups pulling and zig-zagging made it a big more tiring. Funny story: Maggie absolutely loves the puppy water fountains {see adorable pic below} while Moose doesn’t quite understand the concept. He mostly let’s it hit him in the head!
  • Taco Sunday night for dinner! Followed by couch time to rest my tired and sore ankle.

Like I said, I actually did some kind of cool things that didn’t involve traveling or going to a party/shower of sorts! It was fun filled and relaxing all at the same time. Plus, I got to spend the whole weekend dating my husband. I need to date him as much as I can before another little girl I know of comes along and steals his heart…and our time!

Tomorrow I have my next Disney post and it won’t disappoint!

What fun things did y’all do this weekend?
What do you do to find new/fun/exciting things in your city?
