20 miles and Laziness

Hello Monday! You came quite quickly I must say! I’m pretty pumped because (a) I remembered to blog ahead of time so I could post today, (b) I have posts lined up for later this week and (c) I may be getting the hang of this get up crazy early and be functional for the rest of the day thing. Enough about Monday, let’s talk about this weekend…bullet style!

one. Catching Fire!
two. 20 miles done and done.
three. Matt’s birthday…I swear he’s happier than he looks
four. Crave Cupcakes
five. Chestnuts roasting on an open fire…
six. Dixie girl sittin’ pretty
seven. Matt is the Dog Whisperer
eight. I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!
nine. Because everyone needs some gingerbread cookies this time of year!

Friday

  • JP and I went to a quick lunch followed by a matinee showing of Catching Fire…finally! So glad I finally got to see the amazingness.
  • I went to bed at 9:00pm…I’m cool like that
Saturday
  • I slept in until 5:00am! Never thought I’d say that!
  • I ran 20 miles in 34 degree temps with Runner’s High. I couldn’t have done it without all of my running buddies. We started slow the first few miles and then picked up to about a 9:15 pace by mile 6.5. Miles 10-17 were sub-9:00 and then we slowed it down for the last few miles. I am super proud of the pace we kept and gives me hopes for a sub-4 hour marathon!
  • The crew headed to Sugar Land to chill and celebrate Matt’s 16th birthday with presents, cupcakes and Mexican food.
Sunday
  • Charlotte and I did a little Christmas shopping because spending money is fun!
  • The fam sat on our couches watching football, napping and dealing with Moose’s awful farts. {Seriously, it smells like a dead skunk…gross}
  • I baked gingerbread cookies and gingerbread cake balls for the Houston Hardhitters final game of the season! That’s JP’s softball team. We’re going to watch tomorrow!
  • I wrapped presents, blogged, snuggled my babies and stared at my beautiful Christmas tree.
  • I went to bed at 9:00pm. The End.

And now it’s back to the daily grind! Week number 2 at my new job begins! Cross your fingers for some potential clients to pop up this week! Happy Monday y’all…16 days until Christmas!
