To the woman who means more than anything to me:
I love you to the moon and back. You are my role model, my rock and one of my best friends in life. We may fight from time to time, but that is what best friends and mother/daughters do. Over the past 25 years, we’ve had our ups and downs, but I remember the ups. I can’t even count how many times you’ve picked me up when I had fallen. Or how many times you listened to my babbling through my tears. Or how many times you’ve encouraged me to chase my dreams and passions. There aren’t very many people that can make me feel better with just a few words, but you can. {That may not have been the case when I was in high school, but I’ve come to accept your genius now!} Something about a mothers touch or voice can give you the strength to come out of holes of sadness and anger. I am lucky to be your daughter. I am blessed that God chose you to be my momma. You are a beautiful person on the inside and out. People love you when they meet you because you have such a positive presence. Thank you for being a positive light in my life, for passing that light to me and for putting up with me for 25 years. Not many people can do that. {Get excited for many more.} I hope you know how much all four of your children love you and look up to you. You have raised us to be upstanding citizens and children of God. Be proud of everything you have accomplished and remember to always keep chasing your dreams. I love you to the moon and back.
