A Moment and Advice

Today is Day 9 of the blog everyday in May challenge. Like I said at the beginning, I probably wouldn’t use the prompts every day and the likelihood of me blogging on weekends this month is slim to none. Let’s be honest, that would require me to actually schedule multiple posts ahead of time. Ha that’s funny. Today I’m not completely playing catch up, just going to back up to yesterday 🙂

Day 8: A piece of advice you have for others

Who says there is an age limit on life? If your dream is to go to college, who says you can start at the age of 60? Just because so many of us start at the ripe age of 18 doesn’t mean that you can’t start later. If your dreaming of a career change, who says you can do it? Who says you’re too old? Who says you’ve been working in your field too long and it won’t work? Age is simply a number that we must never let define us. You can also flip it around. Who says you’re too young to get married? {I heard that one plenty of times since I married JP when I was 22. Never by the ones that mattered luckily!} You are only as old as you act and life is too short not to pursue our dreams and do what makes us happy. My anxiety has been kicking in more often then I’d like lately and my mom said something that I can’t get out of my head, “Amy, you’re not stuck.” We never really have to be stuck do we? We can always dream another dream and keep moving forward.

Day 9: A moment in your day

Since I don’t carry around my DSLR as often as I should, most of my daily moments are captured on my phone. I’m going to share two recent moments because I love them both 🙂

Shadows. This is my sister and I this past Sunday. We were outside enjoying a margarita made by my daddy in honor of Cinco de Mayo of course! It’s little moments like these that I get to spend with Emily that mean so much to me. She is one of my rocks and I’m blessed to know that no matter what she’ll be there for me. After all, a sister is a gift to the heart, a friend to the spirit, and a golden thread to the meaning of life.

Snuggles. I captured this moment last night just before she started scooting closer and closer to me 🙂 I love puppy snuggles, especially when she so cute and curled up in a ball like that!

What are your favorite moments to capture and savor?

Until next time…
With love and God bless,

Sharing is caring!
