ABC’s of JP!

So I obviously talk about the hubs a lot on this blog. I mean my blog is called A Glimpse of the Gouglers which implies that there is more than one Gougler. It is also because of him that Gougler is my last name right? He had a few other spotlight posts. {weird things he does in his sleep, our love story, an occasional birthday shout out, so on and so forth} A few weeks ago I did a post about the ABC’s of Amy and thought that the hubs deserved his time to shine. So let’s learn a little bit more about the man I called my best friend…

{You will find all my commentary in this font because we all know I can’t keep my mouth shut and not comment on his answers 🙂}

Y’all this was his Facebook profile picture when we started dating in 2006. I guess it was the awesome hat, drunk look in his eyes, tongue sticking out and lovely choice of beverage that turned me on to him 🙂

A is for Age: 26 – about to be 27 in May!

B is for Book: Lord of The Rings Series – I love my nerd 🙂

C is for Chore You Hate: Laundry – let’s talk about how he doesn’t do laundry. Unless we’re talking about folding. He helps me fold, but I don’t trust him with the washer and dryer with my clothes!

D is for Drink of Choice: Whisky, Crown is my favorite

E is for Essential Start to Your Day: Coffee

F is for Favorite Color: Blue

G is for Game to Play or Watch:
Play: Soccer
Watch: Football – The Aggies & Texans

H is for Height: 6’2″

I is for Instruments You Play: None now used to play the viola – again, I really do love my nerd

J is for Job: Supervisor at Shell Manufacturing Plant

K is for Kids and Names: No children. No thank you. Oh but we do have a Maggie. A dog that is. Named Maggie.

L is for Life is Incomplete Without: Amy – good answer, I didn’t coerce him into saying that, but he does get brownie points for it!

M is for Marriage: I’m married to the most wonderful woman in the world. – See ladies I’ve trained him well. Again, no coercion, maybe he’s sappy since I did interview him on our anniversary.

N is for Number of Siblings:
Officially 1 – Kate
But let’s be honest, my wife has a bazillion. Emily, Charlotte, Ben & Matt and they’re all mine now

O is for Other Names: Jimmy Phil, Gougs, Gougler, JPizzle, JAYYY PAYYY – his favorite is Jimmy Phil, I came up with that one. It’s a keeper

P is for Phobias/Fears: Spiders, heights – he doesn’t like scary movies either. No judging because I despise them. Hello nightmares anyone?

Q is for Favorite Quote: “Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goals; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude.” – Thomas Jefferson

R is for Reason to Smile: Going to Vegas today! – and I had to wake up at 5:30am on my day to “sleep in” to take him to the airport. Then I had to go to work instead of Vegas. Lame.

S is for Season: Fall because of football of course. No other reason really.

T is for Time You Wake Up: Depends. If I’m on the morning shift, I’m up and not really at ’em at 4:40am. If I’m on the evening shift, my lazy a$$ stays in bed until 9:30am which really is until I feel like moving. On the weekends, Amy wakes me up. All. The. Time.

U is for Unknown Fact About Me: I am really good at absolutely useless games, such as, washers, beer pong, flip cup, remembering random facts about everything, video games and memorizing pages in a book aka studying/photographic memory.

V is for Vegetable You Dislike: Too many to list. How about this I eat broccoli, carrots, asparagus and green beans because my wife makes me. If I lived alone I might eat carrots and green beans. That is if I remembered to buy them at the store. Which is highly debatable.

W is for Worst Habit: Biting my nails

X is for X-rays You’ve Had: Thumb, ankle, head x2, arm – I’m not accident prone or anything

Y is for Yummy Food: Anything fried

Z is for Zoo Animal: Penguins

So there you have it, a little bit more about the man behind my awesome last name. And for those of you who are new and are wondering just how to say Gougler, it’s like Google with an R. As in one who Googles. You’re welcome. And yes, I know it’s awesome. Just like my hubs! Hope you’re having fun in Vegas baby!

Happy Friday y’all! Have a super fun and safe weekend 🙂

Any fun facts about your significant other you want to divulge?
