Weekend Rewind

It’s Monday once again and I’m starting my first full week at my new job! This past weekend was an interesting one. I feel like I did a lot, but really I didn’t. I guess running 16 miles really takes it out of you and makes you feel like you did something all weekend. The run itself may have only been about 2 1/2 hours, but that’s besides the point 🙂

So here’s my weekend in bullets:

Friday

  • Yoga class
  • Whole Foods Run
  • Grilled Cheese
  • Watching Gossip Girl with the hubs {we started from the beginning, just finished season 1}
Saturday
  • Wake up at the crack of dawn
  • Kill myself running 16 miles in gross Houston humidity
  • Walk slowly up all stairs
  • Shower
  • Tailgate and watch Aggie game at the Waite’s
  • Grill out at the Waite’s and watch all the pups run around and play
  • Go home, watch a Gossip Girl and fall asleep on the couch at 8pm
Sunday
  • Wake up wayyy too early {6 am} because I went to bed so early and we gained an hour overnight!
  • Take Maggie on a walk then chill on the couch with my morning coffee
  • Lunch with Alex
  • Watch football and spend time with my man 🙂
  • Trip to the Galleria for a new work outfit!
  • Yoga class
  • La Madeleine for dinner with the hubs
  • More football and relaxing!
Yup, that’s it. Super exciting I know. And to top it off, I didn’t take a single picture until Sunday…blogger fail!
Since this weekend wasn’t so exciting, let’s rewind to last weekend. October 27th on a beautiful and cool fall Saturday, two dear college friends were married in Anderson, TX {just outside of College Station}. Congratulations to Taylor and Evan, I couldn’t be more happy for y’all and I wish you both years of love and happiness!
Now let’s have a look at how beautiful and rustic this outdoor wedding was!

I loved the cross behind them in the ceremony and you can’t see in the pictures, but there was a super cute wooden structure they were standing under as well. Oh and hello blue skies!

JP has known Evan since college, so all of the amazing gents pictured above are some of JP’s closest friends…making them mine as well over the years 🙂 Oh and the Aggies were dominating playing Auburn that night, so the boys had to watch on an iPhone. I was able to get them to smile and look at me after we scored of course!

I love wedding cake. Enough said right? I loved how Taylor’s cake was separated, very different and the simplicity is beautiful. Now let’s talk about Evan’s cake. Perfect. Yup that sums it up. Perfect for Evan and all his boys really. JP had looked at something like this too!

This is the only picture I took of us at the wedding! After dinner and the cake cutting, this girl was rockin’ the dance floor. Thus no photos…luckily my hubs remembered to snag a few during the Bride & Groom’s exit!
As you can see, it was such a beautiful wedding and really any wedding is beautiful if you ask me. The whole premise makes a wedding just perfect. As much fun as all these weddings I’ve been to have been, I’m kind of pleased to say that we don’t have anymore weddings this year 🙂 I think we need a little break after going to weddings every other weekend in September and October!
So what did y’all do this weekend? Anything exciting? Does anyone else have a ton of weddings this fall? I hope y’all have a wonderful Monday and a great start to a new week!

Don’t forget to join in the fun and link up!

Until next time…
With love and God bless,

Sharing is caring!
