Recipes Workouts

It’s Monday…again? Say it a’int so! Oh well, here we are with another start to another work week. Here’s to making it a good one! I mean it’s exactly 10 days until I go to VEGAS!!!! I guess I can’t complain too much 😉 Now I’m going to warn you, today’s post is going to be a bit all over the place. But since it’s Monday, let’s go ahead and get started with…

Last Week’s Workouts
Monday: OFF – sick
Tuesday: OFF – sick
Wednesday: 2 mile untimed easy run
Thursday: 1 mile run; streching
Friday: Does Happy Hour count?
Saturday: 4 mile run {8:38 pace}; delts and shoulders
Sunday: 20 minute run {2.35 miles 8:30 pace}; lower body; 600 feet on Jacob’s Ladder; abs and stretching

1. This week I’m totally on the stay fit train. I felt so motivated this weekend and feel as though it’s going to continue. I think it’s because I know Vegas is next week. I mean, it’s always better to lose before vacay right?

2. Last Thursday was my baby seester’s 22nd birthday. I went to my parents house to celebrate! Emily wanted fajitas which was fine with me because with fajitas come margaritas! Dad made Emily’s margarita in my super giant martini glass that I left over there after the shower. It makes for an excellent birthday cup!

3. Last month, my bloggy friend turned real life friend Whitney {go check her out!} gave me this super cute gift bag after I became her 100th follower! In my sweet package was some Julep nail polish which I had never used before. I’m a big fan! I’m wearing Audrey below:

4. I didn’t do much this weekend and it was amazing. The hubs was away at a bachelor party, so I did whatever my heart desired and relaxed! I honestly don’t remember the last time I had a weekend like that. So naturally, I went to Hobby Lobby to gather some crafting and organization materials. I didn’t actually get most of my crafts made. Actually, my mail focus this weekend was on mine and the hubs bedroom! I feel like our room is always the last one to get cleaned and decorated. So, I spiced it up, organized it a bit better and now all it needs is a little bit of color on the walls and one more piece of art for it to be complete!

5. Sorry I’m boring today.

6. Here’s something exciting. Well kind of. Saturday night I woke up at 3am bawling uncontrollably due to quite possibly the worst nightmare I’ve ever had in my entire life. As I woke up a hot, sweaty, crying mess, all I could think was oh my goodness, thank you Jesus, it was only a dream. What was the dream you ask? I had the most realistic dream that my husband died. Dead. Gone forever. It was so real because JP was out at the bachelor party this weekend and I knew they were going out. I dreamt that him and the boys drank too much {which they did} and JP somehow did something stupid causing him to fall and hit his head leading ultimately to his death. That is the definition of traumatizing. I was clearly worried about him and he had fallen getting off the top bunk on Thursday night with the boys. I think the worst part of the dream was waking up and him not being there beside me. I was shaken. This dream had me rattled all day Sunday! I have never been more thankful to see him after a weekend apart! Have y’all had any crazy, scary real dreams like that? Or am I just nuts?

7. Moving on. Take a look at this salad.

It was dinner last night and it’s delicious. Even the hubs enjoyed it. Here’s what you need:
Frozen shrimp {sautee on stove in a bit of olive oil, garlic and garlic powder}
Baby Spring Mix
Black Beans

That’s it! I used about 2 handfuls of Spring mix, 1/3 cup cooked quinoa, 1/4 cup black beans, 1/4 cup corn, 3 oz shrimp and 2 tbsp salsa! Super yummy, filling and only 350 calories! Go make it tonight.

8. It’s Monday, so here’s some motivation.

So get up, move and go! How are you going to start off your week? I’m off to the gym after work to get my run on! Looking at about 4 miles today followed by some abs and stretching!

I’m linking up with here and here!
Have a happy Monday y’all!

Until next time…
With love and God bless,
