Seriously, I love everything about weddings. So much love fills the church and the reception hall. I can’t help smiling ear to ear and remembering my own wedding {which was almost 2 years ago!}. There’s also something about seeing two of your friends who you’ve seen grow together make the big leap. It’s magical. Okay enough sap from this girl!
On March 24th, two of my dear friends got married! Congrats James and Meghan Kress! Here are some moments I captured on their wedding weekend in Grapevine/Southlake, TX!
The rehearsal dinner was held at Texas Land & Cattle! JP and I had our rehearsal there too {but in Sugar Land not Grapevine}. I may be biased, but I thought it was an excellent choice. Since it was a Friday during Lent, I went with the salmon for dinner and it was AMAZING! I’m more of a fish eater than a red meat eater, so not having a steak didn’t bother me one little bit!

The ceremony was at White’s Chapel in Southlake. It was a stunning Methodist church with a great background for picture taking as you can see!

I don’t remember the name of the reception hall to be honest, but it wasn’t too far from the church. The back wall was lined with huge windows that brought so much light into the space. It was the perfect weather! Alison, Ashley and I were part of the early arrival crowd and found our way to the bar for bellinis very quickly!

Above is the result of us pretending we’re in college again. After the reception, we headed back to the hotel and proceeded to play drinking games like we were at a house party in college…until 2:00am. {Side note: we were back at the hotel by 10:00pm…at the latest} Clearly we had a blast and for the sake of my friends, I’ll leave the remaining pictures on my computer for my viewing pleasure.
I think my three favorite things about weddings are:
1. Seeing the Groom’s face as his Bride walks towards him down the aisle
2. All of the love you feel surrounding the newly weds
3. Dancing. For sure.

So excited for a relaxing 3 day weekend. Friday will be spent getting things done in the house and the hubs and I were given tickets to the Astros season opener at Minute Maid Park! The Astros may stink, but baseball games are fun and they’re still my team.
