Flashback

It’s Saturday. My last Saturday in Pittsburgh at that. You’re probably wondering why on earth am I inside on my computer, blogging on my last Saturday in Pittsburgh. Well…I’m stuck. At home. Waiting on our stuff to be loaded into the moving truck. I did make it to the gym and picked up some yummy Panera Bread bagels for breakfast! Now I’m back at home sitting around with a bunch of boxes, no t.v., no warm fuzzy blankets to cuddle up in. I do have my computer though, so let the blogging commence!

Instead of looking at the lights at Kennywood last night, we decided to hit up Primanti Bros. and then go ice skating at the PNC outdoor rink! We had to have Primanti one last time before leaving Pittsburgh and it was delicious as always.

JP and Matt decided to split some Chili Cheese Fries!
My yummy turkey sandwich…Pittsburgh style of course! Turkey, coleslaw, french fries and tomatoes!

Once our bellies were full we headed to the rink! Now the reason this post is titled flash back is because JP and I skated at this rink our first week in Pittsburgh exactly one year ago when we were house hunting. It seems as though we’ve now come full circle and went again our last week in Pittsburgh! Here are some pictures from both years 🙂

Waiting on some pictures from Matt of us skating and a group shot in front of the tree! Will update when I get them from him 🙂

I know it’s cheesy, but I really do feel like we’ve come full circle like I said earlier! It’s also quite fitting that it is snowing as we speak. We haven’t gotten much snow this December, but last year it was snowing like crazy when we came to visit!

Just starting to snow December 2011 – it’s starting to stick now!

Okay, I’m done now. It’s safe to say that JP and I have truly enjoyed this year that we’ve spent in Pittsburgh. It’s been a great adventure and I wouldn’t want to experience it with anyone else in the world. It has strengthened our relationship and our love for one another. We know how to rely on each other since at first we were all that each other had! I’m thankful for this time and would never take it back, but I’m also thankful to be moving back home to friends and family. We will miss our friends up in Pittsburgh though. Matt and Maria have been the BEST friends we could ask for! I’m excited to come back and visit them and the rest of our flag football team in the spring, but I’m even more excited for them to come to TEXAS!!!

Well that’s all I have for now. Back to hanging out with the hubs and pup doing pretty much nothing for the next few hours 🙂 Have a wonderful Saturday! 2 days until we start driving! 3 days until I see Andrea! 5 days until we’re home!8 days until Christmas! WOW!

Until next time…
With love and God bless,
